ROOMS Fukuoka has established the following privacy policy (hereinafter referred to as “this Policy”) regarding the handling of personal information of users in the services provided on this website (hereinafter referred to as “this Service”).

Article 1 (Personal information)

Article 3 (Purpose of collecting and using personal information)

Article 4 (Changes in purpose of use)

ROOMS Fukuoka will change the purpose of use of personal information only if it is reasonably deemed that the new purpose is related to the purpose before the change.
If the purpose of use is changed, ROOMS FUKUOKA will notify users of the new purpose in a manner specified by ROOMS Fukuoka or publish the changed purpose on this website.

Article 5 (Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties)

  1. ROOMS Fukuoka will not provide personal information to any third party without obtaining the prior consent of the user, except in the following cases. However, this does not apply where such provision is permitted under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information or other applicable laws and regulations.
    1. When it is necessary to protect a person’s life, body, or property, and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the individua
    2. When it is particularly necessary for improving public health or promoting the sound development of children, and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the individual
    3. When it is necessary to cooperate with a national government agency, a local government, or a party entrusted by them in executing affairs prescribed by laws and regulations, and obtaining the consent of the individual may hinder the execution of such affairs
    4. When the following matters have been announced or publicly disclosed in advance, and ROOMS Fukuoka has filed a notification with the Personal Information Protection Commission:
      1. That the purpose of use includes provision to third partie
      2. The items of data to be provided to third parties
      3. The means or methods of providing such data to third parties
      4. That provision to third parties will be stopped upon request of the individual
      5. The method for accepting such requests from the individual
  2. Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, in the following cases, the recipient of the information shall not be considered a third party:
    1. When ROOMS Fukuoka entrusts all or part of the handling of personal information to a contractor within the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use
    2. When personal information is provided as a result of succession of business due to merger or other reasons
    3. When personal information is jointly used with specific parties, and the individual has been notified in advance, or has been placed in a condition where they can easily become aware, of such fact, as well as the items of personal information to be jointly used, the scope of parties jointly using such information, the purpose of use by such parties, and the name or designation of the person or entity responsible for managing such personal information.

Article 6 (Disclosure of Personal Information)

  1. ROOMS Fukuoka shall, upon request from the individual, disclose personal information to the individual without delay. However, if disclosure falls under any of the following cases, all or part of the information may not be disclosed, and if a decision not to disclose is made, ROOMS Fukuoka shall notify the individual to that effect without delay. A fee of JPY 1,000 per request shall be charged for the disclosure of personal information.
    1. When there is a risk of harming the life, body, property, or other rights and interests of the individual or a third party
    2. When there is a risk of causing significant hindrance to the proper execution of the business of ROOMS Fukuoka
    3. When disclosure would violate other laws and regulations
  2. Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, information other than personal information, such as history information and characteristic information, shall in principle not be disclosed.

Article 7 (Correction and Deletion of Personal Information)

  1. If a user’s personal information held by ROOMS Fukuoka is incorrect, the user may request ROOMS Fukuoka to correct, add, or delete such personal information (hereinafter referred to as “correction, etc.”) in accordance with the procedures prescribed by ROOMS Fukuoka.
  2. If ROOMS Fukuoka receives a request from a user as described in the preceding paragraph and determines that it is necessary to comply with such request, ROOMS Fukuoka shall, without delay, correct, add, or delete the relevant personal information.
  3. ROOMS Fukuoka shall notify the user without delay when it has made such correction, etc. based on the provisions of the preceding paragraph, or when it has decided not to make such correction, etc.

Article 8 (Suspension of Use of Personal Information, etc.)

  1. If ROOMS Fukuoka is requested by the individual to suspend the use of or erase personal information (hereinafter referred to as “suspension of use, etc.”) on the grounds that such personal information is being handled beyond the scope of the purpose of use, or that it was obtained by improper means, ROOMS Fukuoka shall, without delay, conduct the necessary investigation.
  2. Based on the results of the investigation set forth in the preceding paragraph, if ROOMS Fukuoka determines that it is necessary to comply with the request, it shall, without delay, suspend the use of or erase the relevant personal information.
  3. ROOMS Fukuoka shall notify the user without delay when it has carried out such suspension of use, etc. pursuant to the preceding paragraph, or when it has decided not to carry out such suspension of use, etc.
  4. Notwithstanding the preceding two paragraphs, in cases where suspension of use, etc. would involve substantial costs or is otherwise difficult to carry out, and where alternative measures can be taken to protect the rights and interests of the user, ROOMS Fukuoka shall take such alternative measures.

Article 9 (Changes to the Privacy Policy)

  1. The contents of this Policy may be changed without notifying users, except for matters otherwise provided for by laws and regulations or in this Policy.
  2. Unless otherwise specified by ROOMS Fukuoka, the revised Privacy Policy shall take effect from the time it is posted on this website.
